Google Infused Classroom (Spring 2018)
Are you looking for ways to learn more about all of the new and improved Google suite of tools? Don’t have time to take a face-to-face college course? Then join us this Spring Semester for an online, self-paced course designed to assist you in integrating Google tools into classroom instruction. In recent years there have been many updates to Google Tools, providing even more ways to integrate technology into teachers’ and students’ workflow. This course will build on the basics of each tool and highlight the new features found within each. This course will build from the ground up, so whether you are a new user to Google or a seasoned veteran, this class will cater to your needs.
This is a self-paced course with ten + modules you can proceed through at your own pace. The modules are all in place at the start of the class. You are welcome to complete each module at any time during the course.
Each module will consist of reading materials, videos, additional support materials and a series of activities to build your skill set and provide you with an opportunity to apply the newly acquired skill to your own personal classroom setting. Building a skill set first and then applying that skill set to an authentic environment is shown to create a better understanding of how a tool can be used more effectively on a personal level by teachers and students.
I will conduct a Google Hangout as needed to cover any questions and or problems that arise throughout the course. Additional support will be provided to individuals within the class via a discussion board, emails, a hangout, or even a phone call if necessary.
Course Cost: $149
Credit Fee: $150 (MSU-N, paperwork will be emailed after registration)
OPI Certification Credit: 45 (no cost)
